Costa Rican LBS round 9 best performance: Amaurys Ripool (by Interperformances)

Naturalized Dominican Rep. Forward Amaurys Ripool (196-F-86) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked ARBA, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 19 rebounds, while his team outclassed Perez Zeledon (#6, 2-5) with 48-point margin 102-54. ARBA was forced-out from the top positions in Costa Rican LBS. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and ARBA keeps a perfect 7-0 record. In the team's last game Ripool had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at ARBA, through which he has constantly improved. Amaurys Ripool has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 15.7ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 8.2rpg) and averages impressive 58.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young former international center Steven Mcdonald (197-C-98) of league's leader Escazu. Mcdonald had a very good evening with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Of course he led Escazu to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Siquirres (#3, 4-4) 107-53. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Escazu consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 8 matches. Mcdonald is a newcomer at Escazu, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another ARBA's star - forward Jose Monestel (182-F-01). Monestel scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds. He was another key player of ARBA, helping his team with a 102-54 easy win against the lower-ranked Perez Zeledon (#6, 2-5). ARBA have amazing season winning all 7 games without a single defeat. Monestel turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Monestel has a very solid season. In 4 games in Costa Rica he scored 9.0ppg.
